Last updated: June 12, 2026

These Terms of Service are between you and Slab Card Grader LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). Slab is a product of Slab Card Grader LLC. By using Slab, you agree to these Terms.

Questions? Contact us at contact@slab-grader.com or slab-grader.com.

1. What Slab does

Slab is a trading card condition assessment app. It uses computer vision and AI to estimate centering, corner, edge, and surface condition, and to predict how a card might grade with professional grading companies. Slab also lets you track submissions and earn credits by reporting your grades back.

2. Your account

You must be at least 13 years old to use Slab. You're responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Sign-in is handled by Apple or Google — we don't store your password.

3. Subscriptions and billing

Free trial. New accounts receive a free trial when they first sign up. No payment is required during the trial. The trial duration and scan limits are shown at the point of account creation.

After the trial. Continued access to Slab requires a subscription — Standard or Pro. Subscription options, pricing, and scan limits are shown at the point of purchase in the app.

Billing. All payments go through Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). Your payment method is charged at the start of each billing period. Subscriptions renew automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before renewal.

Price changes. We'll give you reasonable notice of price changes in the app. Continuing your subscription after a change means you accept the new price.

Scan credits. Credits are earned by reporting grading outcomes through the submission tracking feature. Credits are non-transferable, have no cash value, and expire 12 months from when they're issued.

4. Refund policy

All purchases are made through Apple or Google. Refunds are governed by their policies:

We cannot process refunds directly. Scan credits earned through grade reporting are not refundable.

6. Grading disclaimer — please read

Slab's condition grades are estimates produced by automated software.

They are not:

Actual grades from grading companies can differ from Slab's estimates. Graders apply their own standards, handle cards physically, and make judgment calls that no automated system can fully replicate.

Do not make high-value buying or selling decisions based solely on Slab's output. Have cards professionally graded before major transactions.

We are not liable for financial decisions made in reliance on Slab's estimates.

7. Intellectual property

Our property. The Slab app, its code, model weights, grading algorithms, and visual design are owned by Slab Card Grader LLC. You get a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use the app.

Your content. You own the photos you take. By using Slab, you give us a license to process those photos to run the grading service. If you opt in to training data collection, you give us a broader license to use anonymized crops to improve the models (see our Privacy Policy).

Third-party content. Card names, images, and set data belong to their respective owners (Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Wizards of the Coast, Bandai, Disney, etc.). We don't claim ownership of that content.

8. Account termination

By you. Delete your account in Settings → Account → Delete Account at any time.

By us. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or abuse the service. We'll try to give you notice, but we're not required to.

Effect. On termination, your access ends immediately. Data deletion follows the timeline in our Privacy Policy. Unused scan credits are forfeited.

9. Disclaimers and liability

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS." WE MAKE NO WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ABOUT ITS ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Disputes go to state or federal courts in California.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. We'll notify you of material changes in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept them.
